What is Digital Waste Tracking?
Digital Waste Tracking is a new government legislation that replaces paper waste transfer and hazardous waste consignment notes with a single digital record of waste movements. Introduced under the Environment Act 2021, it records waste from the point it is produced through to recycling, recovery or disposal.
Records are securely stored by Defra and the environmental regulators. Digital Waste Tracking is being introduced in phases, with different compliance dates depending on the type of organisation. We've outlined the key dates in our Digital Waste Tracking page.
How RecycleID™ keeps you Digital Waste Tracking compliant
The RecycleID™ app, weighing platform and QR-coded sacks allows you to track every kilogram of waste by tenant, store or area.
It’s easy to use, quick to set up, and built to scale as you grow.
Our QR-coded sacks can be scanned to instantly report data on date and time, waste types and weights, capturing vital Digital Waste Tracking information. With email alerts for contamination, you can rest assured that you are not providing waste misdescriptions that would see you fall foul of compliance.
The app connects with devices and systems like Weightron, Relearn Nando, Method Bin, Greyparrot, Recycleye and Winnow so you can plugin your existing infrastructure to incorporate them within your Digital Waste Tracking requirements.
